Costumer National lookbook Spring 2010

The past few days, designer lookbooks came out of their closet with interesting or disappointing emotions. Lookbook is usually not a catalog neither an ad, a lookbook are like “designer’s diaries” showcasing their items compiled in ensembles to reflect the vision and image of the collection. And one of the most expected lookbook, not Alexander Wang for this time, Costume National just posted it on their website and in my opinion is the most elaborated one I’ve seen. Some may say it looks simplistic or because Glen Luchford is behind the lens, but the attitudes and looks by the models Karmen Pedaru and Christian Brylle are quite stunning and translate perfectly what is Costume National for Spring 2010: a combo of biker-chic jackets in shirts and lamé dresses ready to hit St. Tropez this summer.
