Alexander Wang is probably one of the most observed designer in the industry since the former Parsons student launched his first collection in 2007. Famous for his grungy rock & sexy/chic tank and tees, he won the CFDA in 2008 that helped him boost his business and widen his collection.
The Fall 2009 shoes collection definitively justifies why I like his work, he is so different and the pieces always original almost too “avant-garde” . In this collection, you will find snakeskin stiletto boots, sexy two-toned clear heels with leather skin and black/denim pumps (you have to look ad the Hanne zip boot). Looking at how the entire collection is so glamo-futuristic, it makes me feel Alexander Wang launched a shoe collection for Battlestar Galactica sexy androids.
