Summer is slowly popping in NYC and it’s just so frustrating to see the weather report forecasting more days or rain and cloudy skyline… I have abandoned all hope of a sunny and warm summer until I’ve realized summer colors have been hitting the Resort 2010 collections the past weeks! My second favorite color after lime green, tangerine/orange is no longer associated with the falling leaves of Autumn, we’ve seen our favorite designers like Jason Wu and Zac Posen showing some fresh and pretty looks. Sexy stretch pants or chiffon frock, bright colors are used smartly to make that statement: “Summer is not dead!”.

Mint green has also been a dominant color that just popped up this season. Probably to promote a greener way of life. Jason Wu, Bottega Veneta and Zac Posen knew how to make it summer cool! Ready for a BBQ in your backyard? In addition I’ve noticed a whole load of designers using pastels on their collection: Prada and Louis Vuitton are good examples. In contrast to the austerity of the Fall shows, their collection had a few nice draped-back dresses in camel color-blocked with pastels.
