For a guy like who is nostalgic for the old-style tailored and preppy suits from 1950’s, I found Philip Sparks absolutely calling me. As described in the Spring 2009 Lookbook, the Spring collection is inspired by the preps, the jocks, the slackers and the greasers of 50s youth. Suiting incorporates double pockets, covered buttons and India tape trim on linen and cotton. Casual pieces have a loose, athletic look and cargo pocket details. Ramie knits add a yellow accent to the collection’s white, grey and black palette.I like the V-neck polo sweater with yellow stripes and the plaid linen/cotton blazer.
