Every girl who had the fortune of being in the late 80’s had at least 12 pairs of harem pants. They were baggy pants, tapered at the ankle, sort of like MC Hammer pants, but the on the side hip/thigh areas were two flaps that buttoned at the waist area. Even cooler when wearing hoop earrings with a key on one of them. (Ã la Janet Jackson’s Rythm nation).
Harem pants are making a huge comeback and have been totally revived during the Spring 2009 RTW shows. Modern versions of harem pants now look utterly chic and well-designed. Designers from Tibi, Diesel Black Gold, Ralph Lauren, Phi, Chloé and Dolce & Gabanna are making these to dress for success this year.
