This year for the Paris Fashion Week, it seems that a memo circulated around all the designers. Clearly the motto for Fall is something that clearly involves harem pants and large drapery. And it seems that even the most established houses like Dior referenced to that trend. After looking closely to John Galliano’s show on Friday, one of my favorite designer was obviously in an Eastern mood. While most of the designers speak about recession, Dior clearly goes the other way around and even push luxury to a new dimension: a lot of draping.
In Dior’s runway show we could find an easy flash from the past with recall from Paul Poiret’s Eastern influence and the Parisian craze from the 1920’s. I loved the black cashemire jacket and the cream satin drapey harems. All the coats were absolutely standing out, it’s been a while that coats haven’t gotten such attention in a Fall collection. John Galliano definitely proved he is a master in Fashion with such different way of expressions.

The picture above photographed by Jacques Habbah is so lovely. It’s like going back a century ago.
